Meet Altesa.

With 20 years of experience teaching and facilitating arts education programs, classes, and workshops for children and teens, Altesa effectively combines her training as an actor and her degree in social work to observe and celebrate humanity. Her unhinged creativity, down-to-earth approach, and direct style create an environment where everyone feels empowered to follow their creative passions while embracing their unique selves.

Altesa’s professional and personal background includes work as an actor, storyteller, and writer; a homeschool mom to two brilliant boys; an entrepreneur; and the founder/CEO of That Homeschool Life and Creative Teaching Studio. She is also a vendor for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL), and the Los Angeles County Library.

She earned her MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School in NYC and her BA in Social Work from Rutgers University in NJ.

She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences as an artist, teacher, and creator.
